around the Central Florida area. Misstaken is a high energy party rock
band that offers much more than just great music. Misstaken likes to
"Rock Hard, but Play Harder" when it comes to performing live.
They drag you into their world with plenty of entertainment, interaction
and dancing. Their ever-changing ways create a magnetic desire to follow
every show to see what will happen next. A genre-bending blend of
80's rock, classic rock, southern rock, hard rock, alternative rock, light
rock, country-rock, and more... Misstaken's electrifying and intoxicating
live performances have built a loyal and growing following throughout the
Central Florida area and beyond. Sometimes it's hard to stay in your seat
and sit still while this band performs and it's hard not to participate or
even tap your foot when the music starts. They bring the fun to you -
wherever you are!

The Misstaken
Band consists of 4 members: Michael, Linda, Jeff and Eric. Michael and
Linda started up Misstaken when they first started dating in 1998, but
began performing locally as a band when they moved up
to the Central Florida area in 1999. Michael and Linda
mostly played private parties over the next several
years
with Michael's brother, Charlie, on bass and a drum machine, or their
backup music. Jeff joined the band in November of 2006. Eric joined the band
in January 2007. These band members gel together well and
work off of each other like
close bandmates should. Each member
brings much versatility into the band from their
completely different backgrounds which
helps to make
Misstaken a very unique band. Misstaken throws all their
emotions into each song they play. But, the biggest
thing
that surprises most people is how genuine the band
is. When off the stage, each member of Misstaken
is "down
to earth," easy to talk to, and cares about
people. They are regular people that have feelings
and all of their own goals to reach in life. |
When it comes to having a good
time, there is NO
other band like this rock band, based out of Central
Florida! This show Misstaken has is entirely original, yet
influenced by the Greats, like David Lee Roth, Edward Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Skid
Row, Leslie Neilsen,
Mel Brooks, Jim
Carrey, Sammy Hagar, Jimi Hendrix, Pat Benatar, Heart and Chevy
Chase. Linda says, "this is how we feel...we don't fake having a good
time and we put our best into each show, trying to make sure each one is a
little different. We want to make smiles any way we can!" Misstaken plays originals and covers in the style of 80's, Southern & Classic
Rock with a dash of country, pop & disco just to keep you on your
toes.
Misstaken's sound is influenced by a 'Pat Benatar meets
Van Halen' twist and you would think you were in a front row seat to see a
comedy show... which leaves you wanting more!
