Good Time, Good Music... Isn't that what it's all about? Well, that is something you can expect from Misstaken!  Each MIsstaken performance is packed full of energy, good live music, interaction, entertainment, and fun for everyone, no matter what kind of crowd!  Their music remains very
 professional from beginning to end; yet at times, you would think you were sitting front row at a 
comedy show! 

 Misstaken is a high energy party rock band that interpolates much more than just their great music.
  Misstaken likes to "Rock Hard, but Play Harder" when it comes to performing live. They bring to each
 show a unique and powerful voice, unmistakable guitar riffs, playful minds, new entertainment ideas, a 
 bag of toys, a great sense of humor, and a charming way of making the audience a part of each show. 
 Misstaken's energetic, electrifying and intoxicating live performances have built a loyal and growing
 following throughout the Central Florida area and wherever they go. It’s hard to remember any of the
 day’s problems when you get sucked into their magical 'other dimension.'  Misstaken brings the fun,
 interaction, entertainment and dancing right to you - wherever you are; and their ever-changing and 
 comedic ways create a magnetic desire to follow every show to see what will happen next.  They also 
 create a modern, yet familiar melodic, distinguished rock music style of their own. You really won’t be 
 'misstaken' about this band and you will NEVER FORGET THEM!

When it comes to having a good time, it takes a playful mind... That's why each Misstaken show is entirely original and based off of our energetic feelings. The bandmates are influenced by the Greats, like David Lee Roth, Pat Benatar, Edward Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Leslie Neilsen, Mel Brooks, Jim Carrey, Carol Burnett, Lita Ford, Sammy Hagar, Jimi Hendrix, Heart, Motley Crue, Poison, Journey, Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Boston, Rush, 38 Special, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, Richard Prior, Steve Martin, Chris Farley, Will Farrel, Sam Kinison, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Martina McBride, and ourselves along with thousands of other countless influences.  

Misstaken throws all their emotions into each song they play. But, the biggest things that surprises most people is how versatile the genres are and how genuine the band is.  Both on and off the stage, each member of Misstaken is "down to earth," easy to talk to, and cares about people.  They are regular people, just like you, that have feelings, responsibilities, and goals of their own to reach in life.

---THE BAND---

CURRENT
The writing of Misstaken original music is mostly done by Michael and Linda. The original songs on the "Skin of Lies" cd were performed by: Linda Logue ("the Angel"), Michael Logue ("Guitarman" or "Strings"), Jeff Bluford ("Stix"), and Eric ("Thumper") Brown. 

Live performances with a mix of originals & covers of Misstaken are always performed with Michael and Linda, and also include a tag team of our favorite local musicians for the bass and drums, depending upon what kind of show, who is available, and where it will be - Some of the local musicians performing with Misstaken are: Bill Pellick (bass/backup vocals), Chuck Imo (drums), Jason Cissna (drums/backup vocals), Bobby Wright (bass/backup vocals), Robert Bass (drums/vocals), Jeff Bluford (drums), Eric "Thumper Brown (Bass/Keyboards/Vocals), Nevin White (bass/backup vocals), and occasionally Jerome Robinson (bass), and  Mighty Joe Tappeiner (drums). 

One thing is for sure, no matter what combination used, the band members gel together well and work off of each other like close bandmates should and their music is right on.  Each member brings a lot of versatility into the band from their completely different backgrounds which helps to make Misstaken a very unique band. 

HISTORY
Misstaken formed in 1998 in South Florida when Michael & Linda started dating and began working on combining their music styles together to write their own original music. The band itself began performing live local shows in 1999 in the Central Florida area with Michael's brother, Charlie, helping out on bass, and a drum machine. The band has changed a few members through the years, but the heart and soul of the music, whether original or covers, has always been there without question.

We work very hard to put on an entertaining show and we try to make sure everyone is having a good time! We try to make YOU feel like you are a huge part of our music - because you are! Also, we write melodic & meaningful original music, not just something someone threw together quickly and stuffed with fluff just to quickly get it out there.  After working many years of performing in bars, clubs, fairs & festivals, we compiled our own original songs to get us closer towards our goal of becoming an all original band that all ages can enjoy. 

We (Linda & Michael) are great role models because we don’t use drugs or abuse alcohol and we always try to set a good example of being honest, kind, responsible, wonderful, happy, and fun-loving people who love to work hard and play just as hard as we work – we represent “the new rock and roll image.” We are "the heart of rock and roll, and rock and roll with heart," and of course, we sure love to "Rock Hard, but Play HARDER!" We continually work on improving ourselves and our music, and we constantly re-invent ourselves to keep our fans interest in our music and sense of style.
